It's been a busy pre season for Spurs as they sought out to better their dreadful finish last season.Having finish 5th in the previous 2 campaign, Spurs faltered just when the fans believe that breaking into the top 4 was possible.
With a new coach in the form of Juande Ramos,whose resume includes 2 UEFA Cup back to back with Sevilla.Ramos spearheaded Spurs into their 1st Major trophy after 9 years,winning the Carling Cup last season.With a new head coach comes new ways of management, Ramos brought with him Gustavo Poyet, a former player for Spurs back in the late 90's. as his assistant.

Looking ahead for the challenge next season, Ramos have offloaded several players in order to make ways and changes to the current LilyWhites squad.
Steed Malbranque, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Younes Kaboul, Paul Robinson, Lee Yung Pyo have been linked witha move away from the Lane. But the most that will have the dire effect will be the departure of Talismanic Robbie Keane.
Keane moved to Liverpool on a 20.3 millon pound fee. Influential on and off the pitch, with superb technical ability to control the game and finding the back of the net, Spurs will have a large hole to fill the gap left by Keane.

All Aboard
With departures, along comes the new blood. Spurs have been busy this summer on the transfer market.
Spurs 1st signing, Luka Modric joins the LilyWhites from Dinamo Zagreb. Having performed well for his country in the recently concluded Euro 2008, Modric will certaintly add the strength to the midfield as well as bringing along a new form of creativity.
Promising midfielder, John Bostock joins from Crystal Palace. At just 16, John has future written all over him. With youth on his side, Ramos will definitely give John time to develop his game at his own pace.
Giovanni Dos Santos soon followed, joining the ranks of new acquisition at White Hart Lane. Speedy and full of trickery at his disposal, Giovanni is able to operate as a support stiker or as a attacking midfielder. At only 19 and under the right guidance, Giovanni will play a major part for Spurs in time to come.
With the departure of Robinson, Spurs are in need of a safe pair of hands in between the pole. Having won 4 championship with Eindhoven,Gomes will very much add to the shot stopping saves that Spurs have been missing these few seasons.
Just days ago, David Bentley signs for Spurs from Blackburn. At 23, the capable winger who is capable of playing at both flanks providing the much needed pace for those areas.With speed and abundant amount of energy with him, entley will definiely be force to be reckon with in time to come.
